…Ms. Lopez was admitted with a possible GI blockage as a potential complication from Covid. Ms. Lopez was terribly frightened and indicated that she spoke little English. She asked me, “Espanola?” I smiled and answered “pequito” (very little), at which point Ms. Lopez understood I literally meant I spoke only one word – “pequito”. We both started laughing. That broke the ice for us….
