Robert was a patient of mine for several weeks on the surgical unit. Usually, the turnaround rate is fairly quick, but in Rob’s case the unit was his home for a little while. He had a hernia repair several months prior and had developed complications with the wound healing. He was treated at the wound clinic with no success. Rob’s wounds were now infected.
