Promote congruent academic, practice, regulation, and accreditation expectations for new graduate nurse outcomes.
Initiative 1.1: Define and set standards for the profession on practice readiness, clinical reasoning and judgment, and competencies.
Initiative 1.2: Articulate the ideal relationships among the profession’s current competency standards and ICONEd’s standards for clinical reasoning and judgment, competencies, and practice readiness).

Serve as a center for learning andragogies that promote learner capacity to increase the health and wellness of nursing’s recipients of care.
Initiative 2.1: Elevate the reason for clinical education is to ensure nurses are equipped to improve health and wellbeing of recipients of care; markers of good nursing practice are reflected in outcomes.
Initiative 2.2: Establish standards for clinical education andragogies and structure to support learner outcomes.
Initiative 2.3: Determine standard outcome assessment strategies and measures for multisite, replicable research.
Initiative 2.4: Promote neuroscience-based andragogies for nursing practice formation.
